Predator 3500 Spark Plug - BobIsTheOilGuy
WEBMar 8, 2012 · I picked up a Predator 3500 inverter generator at Harbor Freight and the manual said the spark plug is a Torch F7RTC. I picked up the NGK equivalent but when I went to swap it, the stock plug was a LG F6RTC. What is the difference between a 6 and 7 in the part number? Colder plug? I put in the NGK and it ran fine after comparing the sizes.

WEBJun 21, 2019 · Just curious to know if anyone in the BITOG community owns the Harbor Freight Predator 3500 Watt Inverter Generator, and what they think of it. Presently I run a Champion 3500 Watt generator for essential backup. It is reasonably efficient, but a little loud. This Predator machine looks to be both quieter and a little more efficient.
What oil to use in a new Predator generator from Harbor Freight?
WEBDec 30, 2008 · Personally I am running Mobil 1 10w-30 High Mileage in that same engine, albeit mine is the Predator 3500 inverter. My other generator may be more similar to yours. It is a Champion 3500 / 4000 peak open frame model, full 3600 RPM run mode.
Best oil for Big Predator 9500W inverter generator?
WEBMar 16, 2003 · I cannot speak to that specific engine, but I have run both M1 10w-30 HM and Rotella T6 5w-40 in my Predator 3500 inverter generator. I keep it in the garage where it never goes below freezing. It always starts easily. How cold might your oil get? I wouldn't go for anything 0w-X unless you plan on starting it with oil at zero degrees F.

WEBMar 22, 2006 · As I mentioned, I have the Predator 3500 inverter generator. Our inlaws have the champion one with the key fob start option. Ours is much quieter and better on fuel. The inlaws were mad when they found out ours was only $700 and they paid almost $1000. This little unit is very well built and runs like a charm. Good to know.

WEBDec 9, 2020 · As some may recall, my old Robin Subaru inverter generator started on fire, so I got an HF Predator 3500 inverter. I was at about 20 hours, so I decided to do a break in oil change and spark plug exchange. The change from the HF “Torch” plug to an NGK iridium is a recommended upgrade. The generator is quiet, but not low pollution.

WEBMay 8, 2021 · You can buy 3, 4400 watt Predator inverter gens for the same price. You can get 2, and 4400 watt Predator and run a parallel kit for 8800 watts. I'd consider 2-3 for at home emergency use, but not job site use. One breaks down, the other(s) might still run but you'd need to be selective about what you power in your home.

WEBJul 30, 2015 · I have an open frame Champion generator purchased right after hurricane Sandy in 2012. It saw us through a number of eight hour power interruptions up until 2018 when a Predator 3500 inverter generator joined the fleet. It probably has on the order of 50 hours of runtime.

WEBJun 20, 2024 · Hello guys! Just thought I would pass on some info about magnetic oil drain plugs I have. Votex makes arguably the best magnetic plugs on the market. I found a couple different ones that work well with the Predator 9500W generator. I wasn't sure which one would be best so I bought both to try.
