After trial/error, our system now is simply one line from the house (Washing Machine, one sink in the Laundry Room, and the Dish Washer and Kitchen Sink) which takes all the Gray Water into one long line down the hill. It runs about 100 feet away from the house.

The other solution is a catch basin and effluent pump that will allow the washer to drain into it and then pump it up to the main drain line.

WEBFeb 22, 2005 · I also have my washing machine draining separately. I don't worry about the small amount of bleach I use for cleaning or laundry. It is a 1,000 gallon tank afterall. One pint worth is something like a 8,000/1 saturtion. The only laundry I add bleach too is my white/gray socks as I am prone to fungal foot infections.

As others said, speed queen worked around it until Jan 1, 2018, after which no residential marketed machine could be sold without a computer controlling water level etc.

Over time, your goats will compact that area, and also will destroy the vegetation that's there. If you ruin your leach field, it will cost 1,000's to move it, if you even have another suitable location.

WEBFeb 19, 2011 · IMI, I'd never grow anything on a septic field, other than grass or flowers. Having a vegatable garden over one, might raise the issue of excessive bacteria. Googling blueberry root depth, finds that roots might go two feet. It always seems like roots want to go deeper or wider, when there is moisture there, anyway.

WEBOct 15, 2008 · It is easy to do the repair. Lightly sand the threads on the machine, remove the dust. Mix a small amount of J B. I use a kitchen match stick to mix the stuff. Coat the damaged fitting until it is smooth. Using wide thread tape, wrap the threads tightly. Screw on the hose fitting and let the epoxy cure.
