The Town of Newport is located in Columbia County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 681 at the 2000 census. The ghost town of Moe Settlement was located in the town. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 22.1 square miles, of which, 21.5 square miles is land and 0.6 square miles is water.
