Chester is a town in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The population was 960 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Atwater and East Waupun are located in the town. A post office called Chester was established in 1847, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1918. The town was named after Chester, Massachusetts.
