The next time you scroll through your Instagram and Facebook feed, you might see a video ad edited with AI. That’s because Meta is testing new AI video editing capabilities that will allow advertisers to animate an image as well as expand the borders of a video.

Meta is experimenting with serving more AI-generated content, including people's digital likeliness, to some users' Facebook and Instagram feeds.

After Meta recently reignited controversial plans to use the public posts of U.K. Facebook and Instagram users’ as AI training fodder, the social networking giant has taken the next step and begun to notify local users it will soon start helping itself to their information again.

While the announcement that Meta would be utilizing public posts to train its AI model, a ChatGPT-like program called Llama 2 — there has since been an updated version — was made a year ago, a recent plan for collecting data on United Kingdom users in coming months is bringing worry and fury from many across the pond.
