SMU has clinched a spot in the ACC Championship Game after beating Virginia, 33-7, in Charlottesville. The No. 13 Mustangs are undefeated in conference play during their first season transitioning to a Power Four school.

The reasons why SMU wouldn’t want to play Miami are obvious. The Hurricanes have the best offense in the nation, averaging 44.7 points per game, and they’re led by a Heisman candidate quarterback in Cam Ward, who ranks second in the nation in passing (3,774 yards).
