The saga of many the second-round picks in the 2025 NFL draft not having signed their contracts could be coming to an end after Alfred Collins, the No. 43 overall selection, agreed to his rookie deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

Up until Wednesday night, just two of the 32 second-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft were under contract as rookies began reporting to training camps. However, a major domino seems to have fallen that could open the floodgates for those second rounders to put pen to paper.

Following weeks of negotiations, Alfred Collins has signed his first NFL contract with the San Francisco 49ers. On Wednesday, Collins and the 49ers agreed on a four-year deal worth $10.3 million. It includes $9 million guaranteed. Now, the former Longhorn can focus on preparing for the regular season with his future secured.
