Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the makers have said. Arjun is set to return as labourer-turned-sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj in the sequel to 2021's Telugu blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.

Sukumar, who is known for his calculated filmmaking has reportedly whipped up a storm with Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2. The director also left an interesting cliffhanger leading to Pushpa 3 in the post-credits scene,

The makers of Allu Arjun led-film gear up for release with a nationwide promotional tour. The film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, releases December 8.

Pushpa 2, set to hit the screens on December 5, is directed by Sukumar and also features returning stars Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Mandanna along with the producer of the movie Y Ravi Shankar were at the concluding function of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa to promote the sequel.

The Rule' on December 5, skipped his planned appearance at IFFI Goa's closing ceremony, leaving Rashmika Mandanna and Sukumar to represent the film. While the reason remains unclear, Arjun is actively promoting the highly anticipated sequel across India.

The much-awaited sequel Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, has been granted a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification.
