More than 7,000 cases of apple juice distributed in Texas have been recalled by a California-based company because the product could be contaminated with patulin, a toxin that can pose health risks to humans and animals,

Martinelli’s recalled about 173,616 bottles of apple juice sold in the company’s signature glass jars in 28 states because they might be contaminated with the toxin patulin. Patulin’s commonly found in rotting apples.
