South Africa are sweating on the fitness of powerful middle-order batter Heinrich Klaasen for their Champions Trophy Group B fixture against Australia on Tuesday as captain Temba Bavuma vowed not to take their injury-hit opponents lightly.

Alex Carey said Australia are excited by the challenge posed by a formidable South Africa when they meet in the Champions Trophy for the first time in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy clash against Australia, South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma said that the fitness of wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen is yet to be assessed and he is also taking part in the practice session.

Both teams made 300-plus totals in their opening games, so expect another run-fest on a flat surface in Rawalpindi
