As seen in these maps, the vibrant fall hues which New Hampshire is so well-known for are expected to peak in the first half of October. The region's colorful foliage displays bring in about ten million leafpeepers each year.

Now there is a new tool to track what the best spots are for leaf-peeping each week. The weekly report is compiled by volunteer observers for the Empire State Division of Tourism's "I 💗 NY" program.

The current foliage map is literally all green. It is not that unusual for mid-September, but typically, by now, we start to see changing colors in the northernmost areas of New England.

Fall officially begins this week and in parts of the state, that will mean the leaves are beginning to change colors.
