By Bharath Rajeswaran (Reuters) -Indian shares rose on Tuesday led by HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries, the two heaviest-weighted stocks on the Nifty 50, with analysts attributing the rise to cheaper valuations after the benchmarks slipped into correction territory recently.

HDFC Bank shares rose 2% in early trade to touch a day high of Rs 1,837. At 1:34 pm, the stock was trading 1.25% higher at Rs 1,827.10.

On November 28, during intraday trading, the bank's market value last crossed the Rs 14 lakh crore threshold before the shares fell below Rs 1,800.

Shares of HDFC Bank Ltd. 500180 inched up 0.38% to 1,804.55 Indian rupees Monday, on what proved to be an all-around positive trading session for the stock market, with the BSE SENSEX Index 1 rising 0.
