FOX 26 Houston on MSNHouston weather: Scattered storms for Father's Day weekendAll Houston coastal counties along with eastern Harris County are under a flood watch until 7 p.m. Beginning around the afternoon, we could see some scattered, heavy storms.
A Flood Watch continues on this ABC13 Weather Alert Day until 7 p.m. Some locations closer to Matagorda Bay even picked up over a foot of rain since midnight.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for Coastal Harris County and surrounding areas through Friday evening, with the National Weather Service warning of the potential for flooding due to heavy rain
KPRC 2 Weather is tracking more scattered thunderstorms pushing through the Houston area. A Flood Watch is in effect until 7 p.m. for Angleton, Pearland, Bay City, Palacios, Freeport, Surfside Beach, Edna, Lake Jackson, Alvin, Ganado, and Clute Counties.
Thankfully, the driver wasn't injured. City officials said there are precautions in place to prevent things like this from happening.
