Liverpool has been linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, but the player's agent is said to be in England to join a rival Premier League team.

According to Foot Mercato, Ekitiké’s steep price tag has prompted Liverpool to explore alternatives, with Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta emerging as a potential target. The report claims Liverpool have contacted the representatives of the 28-year-old ex-Mainz striker, who is expected to cost between €50 and €60 million.
