Lithuanian film 'Toxic', written and directed by Saule Bliuvaite, won the coveted Golden Peacock Award at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) as the nine days of global cinema extravaganza concluded in Goa on Thursday night.

The jury for the International Competition, comprising Ashutosh Gowarikar (its chairperson), Anthony Chen, Elizabeth Karlsen, Fran Borgia and Jill Bilcock, selected Bogdan Muresanu as Best Director for the Romanian film titled 'The New Year That Never Came'.

The much-awaited 55th International Film Festival Of India (IFFI) wrapped up with a grand closing ceremony at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa on November 28. This nine-day prestigious festival presents over 200 titles from 81 countries and numerous celebs from across the world attended the event.
