With Ilya Sorokin's offseason back surgery announced Monday, what will the season hold for the Islanders' back end?

The biggest news surrounding the New York Islanders in recent weeks has involved Ilya Sorokin. There were questions about whether he was entering training camp injured or limited by an injury.

Patrick Roy accidentally announced to the media that goaltender Ilya Sorokin underwent back surgery during the summer. While we don’t yet know the severity of the injury and its consequences, we do know that Sorokin is not expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
