The next time you scroll through your Instagram and Facebook feed, you might see a video ad edited with AI. That’s because Meta is testing new AI video editing capabilities that will allow advertisers to animate an image as well as expand the borders of a video.

Meta Platforms Inc. is rolling out new artificial intelligence tools to help advertisers create and edit videos more easily, seeking to reach Facebook and Instagram users who are spending more time watching videos.

The AI-generated videos will debut on Instagram next year. Meta's Movie Gen Video creates both moving images and sounds.
