Insurgents seen entering building in Aleppo that appears to be Syrian President Assad's palace

A statue of the brother of Syrian President Bashar Assad appeared to be toppled over in the city of Aleppo. Footage filmed by a freelance journalist showed the sculpture of Bassel Assad being pulled down by protesters on Saturday.

Syrian rebels launched a surprise attack on Saturday and quickly advanced through several provinces in the north and northwest of Syria, including the city of Aleppo, the country’s second largest city.
