By John Revill BASEL, Switzerland (Reuters) -Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Swiss host city Basel on Saturday, in the country's first victory since bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst won in 2014.

The EBU, which organises the Eurovision Song Contest, has written an official warning to Spain’s national broadcaster RETV, over comments its hosts made during Thursday's semi-final.

Johannes Pietsch, an Austrian singer popularly known as JJ, has won the 69th edition of the Eurovision song contest in Switzerland with his song "Wasted Love." The song, which the artist co-wrote, featured operatic and multi-octave vocals with a touch of techno.
