Michigan fired offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell after one season under coach Sherrone Moore, the school announced Tuesday. Tight ends coach Steve Casula will serve as the interim coordinator while the program searches for a new coordinator.

Moore made the move three days after the Wolverines closed their regular season with a 13-10 upset win over rival and then second-ranked Ohio State.

Michigan football worked to have continuity from 2023 to 2024 and part of that was elevating quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell to offensive coordinator. However, the Wolverines’ offense was among the worst in the country, with the maize and blue having the No. 128 offense out of 134 teams.
