More than 1,000 residents are without power, roads are closed, and emergency services have been working nonstop overnight as major flooding hit Lancaster County Monday evening into early Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service released a flood warning at 1:22 a.m. on Tuesday valid between 6 a.m. and 5:36 p.m. for Lancaster County.

Many spots in Lancaster County experienced flooding after recent rainfall, leading to a number of rescue calls and road closures. An emergency dispatcher supervisor confirmed that crews had responded to upwards of 50 water rescue calls Monday evening into Tuesday morning after drivers became trapped in the flood waters.
