Of course, this fun is extended to the reality of the fact that Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is filmed in front of a live studio audience. Trading in Young Sheldon ’s single-camera format, the new show is multi-camera with some connective elements that help to make the show feel like a seamless continuation.

"Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage," the sequel from "Young Sheldon" launched on CBS as the most-watched series of the evening on Thursday, October 17.

Young Sheldon already feels like a distant memory, but viewing figures suggest Georgie & Mandy might have more to it than first thought.

Ana Dumaraog of ScreenRant gives it a 9 out of 10, noting that the first two episodes are surprisingly emotional despite the show’s switch to multi-cam. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is a worthy replacement for Young Sheldon, Dumaraog says:
