Craig Melvin has been tapped as the replacement for Hoda Kotb on NBC’s veteran Today show beginning on January 13, 2025 (following Hoda's last day on Friday, January 10).

Craig Melvin will replace Hoda Kotb after the beloved co-anchor announced in September that she was leaving NBC News’ “TODAY” after nearly two decades.

Wofford College graduate and South Carolina native Craig Melvin will replace Hoda Kotb as the new "Today" co-anchor in 2025. "I am beyond excited and grateful," Craig said on the show. "I've enjoyed just a lifetime of blessings, and this is the latest in a long line of blessings."
