A Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his cousin after a family pet helped identify him as the killer, authorities said.

Titan, a white Labradoodle, refused to leave his owner’s side even after she was fatally shot and her body was burned.

Derek Daigneault, 29, was sentenced to life in prison in connection with the grisly murder of his cousin Mandy Rose Reynolds, 26, in April 2023.
