Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall could be moving a step closer to coming to fruition, with a member of the Englishman’s team opening up about where the clash might take place. With the pair far and away the two best heavyweights in the UFC, fans around the globe are desperate to see them go head-to-head in the cage.

With Jones very much in the Aspinall clan's crosshairs, the acclaimed coach of the UFC interim heavyweight champion gave an appraisal of Jones' display against Miocic at 37 years old.

Interim champ Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) is hoping to get his title unification bout with Jones (28-1 MMA, 22-1 UFC), who defended his title with a third-round TKO of Stipe Miocic in Saturday’s UFC 309 main event. Jones wants to be compensated handsomely for a potential Aspinall fight, and Johnson sees Aspinall as the man to beat him.

He believes Jones has little to gain from this fight beyond financial compensation. Ngannou argued that while Aspinall needs this fight to cement his reputation, Jones stands in a different position.
