BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - The Virginia Tech Football Team named its new offensive coordinator Monday. Philip Montgomery has served in many coaching roles throughout the last twenty years, according to Virginia Tech.

Montgomery led Tulsa for eight seasons, guiding the Golden Hurricane to four bowl games and the program’s first American Athletic Conference championship game in 2020.

Trey Neyer's had a strong opening decade in college football. He's back in Power Conference football, too. Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that Neyer is joining Brent Pry's Virginia Tech staff. In Blacksburg, Neyer will step into the role of senior director of player personnel, per sources familiar with the impending move.
