Residents of at least one apartment building are displaced after a water main break sent mud and water flowing through multiple streets in Philadelphia Sunday. The flooding happened near the intersection of 4th Street and Girard Avenue in the Northern Liberties section of the city.

Crews are cleaning up part of Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood after a water main break flooded the street and damaged at least one apartment building.

Roads are flooded and vehicles have been damaged after a water main break occurred in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood Sunday and officials are not ruling out the age of the pipes as a possible factor in the cause of the break.

Philadelphia Water Department was called out to the area of 4th Street and Girard Avenue around 9 a.m. Sunday.
