Chris Wallace, the veteran journalist who has anchored weekly programs on CNN and the Max streaming service, is leaving the network, he announced Monday.

After more than two years at CNN and hosting "Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?" the journalist reportedly intends to start an independent venture.

Wallace left Fox News, where he hosted a Sunday political show, in 2021 after 18 years. He was to have hosted a CNN+ show, but CNN+ was shut down just months later.
