(HILO, Hawaii) — Mount Kilauea, a volcano that has been active in recent years, erupted again on Hawaii’s Big Island, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Sustained high fountains of lava flowed from Mount Kilauea’s two vents, according to the USGS.
The United States Geological Survey is issuing a new Orange Alert, warning residents and visitors on Hawaii's Big Island that lava flows surrounding Mt. Kilauea are increasing and that another fountaining episode could come at any moment.
