10% of flights in 40 U.S. busy airports will be canceled starting Friday — What experts, travelers are saying
U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced on Wednesday that 10% of flights will be canceled in the 40 busiest airports starting on Friday. This comes as the government shutdown continues to drag on more than a month later.
All flights were put on hold after the apparent threat was reported on a plane that had just landed from Houston.

On Wednesday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced its plans to reduce air traffic at 40 of the country's "high-volume" markets by 10% beginning Friday, according to The Associated Press.
