The U.S. secretary of the Treasury has ordered an investigation of ties between Somali-Americans convicted of stealing money from public programs and a terrorism outfit.

President Trump has recently attacked Gov. Tim Walz over the fraud cases, calling Minnesota a "hub of fraudulent money laundering activity" and lashing out against the state's Somali community.

Two border patrol officers attached to the Administration Police (AP) have been killed after the vehicle they were travelling in was blown up by an Improvised Explosive Device in Kulan, near Daadab. Preliminary reports indicate the IED went off after the patrol vehicle the officers were travelling in ran over the explosive, setting it off.
