There’s quite a lot happening in the world of Android Auto at the moment, with behind-the-scenes work to boost the audio experience, new lane guidance and, it seems, some improvements to the mapping that’s offered through Google Maps.

Google acquired Waze more than a decade ago, and it is finally leveraging one of Waze's most popular tools. Drivers using Google Maps in Android Auto will begin to see reporting data from Waze users. The ability to see reports from other drivers has always been one of the biggest appeals of Waze, after all.

Google Maps now shows reports from Waze on Android Auto, a feature that also just launched in the mobile app too.
