A Baytown gas station has been ordered to pay a $50,000 penalty for price gouging during Hurricane Beryl, the Harris County Attorney's Office reports.

Baytown gas station, Super Stop, has been fined $50,000 for price gouging during Hurricane Beryl, after raising fuel prices by over 40%.

The attorney's office received more than 250 complaints in an investigation into price gouging complaints during the hurricane.
