The polling ended in Haryana on Saturday for its 90 Assembly seats. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aims for a third consecutive term, while the Congress seeks to reclaim power after ten years.

Initial exit polls released on Saturday predicted a Congress sweep in Haryana with the party winning around 57 seats, the BJP 14 seats, INLD 4 seats and other around 15 seats. As per pollster Matrize,

The BJP came to power in Haryana in 2014 after bringing an end to the Congress party’s 10-year-long regime. However, the exit polls slightly underestimated the saffron partys victory while being generally accurate for the Congress.
