Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Liverpool 1-0 in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool thanks to Lucas Bergvall 's first goal for the club. The opening goal came just moments after the 18-year-old perhaps should have been shown a second yellow card for a foul on Kostas Tsimikas.

The second Carabao Cup semifinal kicks off Wednesday, Jan. 8 with Liverpool taking on Tottenham Hotspur in north London.
