Barcelona have issued a statement on goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and have confirmed the Germany international has been reinstated as club captain.

Barcelona says Marc-Andre ter Stegen will return as first-team captain after announcing that the goalkeeper had authorized the club to send his medical report to the Spanish league.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has announced he is keen to “collaborate” and “resolve” the dispute with Barcelona that led to his captaincy being stripped on Thursday.
