The suspect in the shooting of two Atlanta transit police officers was captured in Alabama Friday morning. The U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 26-year-old Christopher Daniels, according to U.S. Marshal Marty Keely.

The gunman, 26-year-old Christopher Daniels, was captured by U.S. Marshals in Guntersville, Alabama, on Friday morning. He is being charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of obstruction, public indecency and gun possession.

The incident began around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, when two MARTA police officers spotted a man urinating near a platform inside the station, according to MARTA officials. Police said the man refused to cooperate, and when officers attempted to handcuff the man, the man pulled out a gun and fired several rounds.
