Manchester United endured its second Premier League defeat in four days after suffering a 3–2 loss at home against Nottingham Forest. Old Trafford was stunned into silence when Forest took an early lead after two minutes when Elliot Anderson’s corner was met by the head of defender Nikola Milenkovicć to put the away side in front.

Dan Ashworth was not granted an exit out of Old Trafford by the usual route and instead had to run the gauntlet through the directors' lounge and press conference room.

Chris Wood extended Forest’s lead in the 54th minute, meeting a cross with a perfect header that found the right post, making it 3-1.
