PEARLAND, Texas — A SWAT standoff is underway after a man fired multiple shots at officers from inside an apartment in Pearland on Sunday morning, according to the Pearland Police Department. The incident is taking place at an apartment complex on Old Alvin Road, just south of East Walnut Street.

Police said it started around 8 a.m. Sunday morning after a concerned neighbor reported bullet hole damage on an apartment door. When Pearland police officers arrived at the scene, they tried to make contact with the suspect, but then shots were fired from inside the apartment, police said.

The Pearland Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying four suspects involved in a home invasion burglary that occurred in October.
