Once upon a time, James Harden and Joel Embiid were teammates on the Philadelphia 76ers and made up the most dangerous pick-and-roll duo the NBA had seen in quite some time. The Sixers acquired Harden at the trade deadline during the 2021–22 season and watched as he helped elevate Embiid to his first league MVP trophy in 2022–23.

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is currently working his way back from a second knee surgery in 14 months. The big fella, and superstar player, was clearly not himself in 2024-25 as he played only 19 games and averaged 23.

Unfortunately, according to Embiid, it sounds like Harden might have blamed the big man for Philadelphia giving up on him.
