East County resident Brad Bullock bought an energy drink and a couple scratch-off California Lottery tickets. One of them hit the jackpot.

One man had additional luck after finally finding a winning lottery ticket that he feared was lost forever after several weeks of searching.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the latest drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Monday’s drawing to $315 million. One ticket with five numbers,

Gomez, who claimed his prize Tuesday, October 1 at Mass Lottery headquarters in Dorchester, purchased his $1 million winning ticket at M & M Convenience, 30 Rockdale Ave. in New Bedford. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.

Shrouded in disappointment, the Virginia woman called family and friends to say she found no luck, Maryland Lottery officials said in an Oct. 3 news release. After she left the casino, though, the woman decided to try her luck once more.

Fantasy 5 game tickets start at $1, and the lucky player bought theirs in West Palm Beach, a roughly 70-mile drive north from Miami. It was sold at the Stop & Shop convenience store on Westgate Avenue, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.
