Several major retailers are imposing restrictions to help ensure customers can still by eggs as the deadly bird flu runs rampant.

Some grocers are taking steps to stretch their existing egg supplies, the USDA found. It comes as the bird flu has caused egg prices to soar.

As egg prices soar due to the ongoing bird flu outbreak, Trader Joe's is limiting customers to a dozen eggs per purchase per day. Signs have been erected at Trader Joe's stores across the country, informing customers that they will be limited to a single carton of a dozen eggs per day to "ensure a consistent supply for all customers."
