The Brit ended up stumbling around the ropes, looking out on his feet and taking a count from the referee which proved the difference when it came to the cards at the conclusion of the 12th. Usyk won a split decision and added the undisputed honours to his record having also cleaned up down at cruiserweight six years before.

The biggest fight of the year is still to come, and it will go down in approx four weeks. It is of course the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
