The latest iteration of the iPhone was revealed by Apple on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Here are the key new features, prices, and when you can order one.

Apple unveiled iPhone 17 models, including the ultrathin iPhone Air, which are priced in line with the iPhone 16.

During the earnings call, CEO Tim Cook said iPhone revenue was $44.6 billion, up 13% from a year ago, adding that this growth was caused by the "incredible popularity" of the iPhone 16 family. "We are very pleased with our record business performance for the June quarter, which generated EPS growth of 12 percent," stated Apple CFO Kevan Parekh.

The base model iPhone 17 is the consumer version, with advanced features. However, it lacks the professional focus of the Pro and Pro Max. The Pro features a more powerful chip, enabling advanced camera systems and enhanced mobile gaming. The Pro Max offers storage up to 2TB.

The price people are paying for the new iPhone 17 model varies widely not just based on Apple’s pricing, taxes and duties but also due to different average wage levels.
