ATLANTA — Georgia and much of the Southeast are bracing for a winter storm that is expected to hit on Saturday, bringing substantial and disruptive freezing rain and ice accumulation.

Tonight: Freezing rain is expected in the north Georgia mountains, which will travel southward into metro Atlanta by 10 p.m. This freezing rain is expected to continue overnight and through Sunday morning. Sunday morning: Freezing rain for most of north Georgia, including metro Atlanta.
