SpaceX Dragon Rockets ISS to New Heights
SpaceX Dragon fires thrusters to boost ISS orbit for the 1st time
Dragon isn't the first U.S.-built spacecraft to lend its fuel to the space station's orbit. NASA tested an ISS orbit reboost using a Northrop Grumman Cygnus cargo vehicle in 2022. SpaceX's Dragon is about to do something to the ISS it's never done before
The data from the reboost, scheduled for Nov. 8, will help inform design for a larger Dragon to deorbit the ISS.
SpaceX Dragon Rockets ISS to New Heights With Historic Reboost
SpaceX and NASA have successfully tested the Dragon spacecraft's reboost capabilities, enhancing the International Space Station's altitude. This test adds to existing capabilities provided by Roscosmos's Progress and Northrop Grumman's Cygnus spacecrafts.
