The Texas Rangers announced today that they have signed veteran infielder Nick Ahmed and veteran outfielder Sam Haggerty to minor league contracts with an invitation to the major league camp.

The 34-year-old Ahmed has a career .234/.287/.371 slash line with a .657 OPS, 72 home runs and 339 RBI in 959 games in 11 MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks, Giants, Dodgers and Padres.

According to a team announcement the Texas Rangers have agreed to a minor league deal with long-time Arizona Diamondbacks' shortstop Nick Ahmed, including an invite to Major League Spring Training.
