Thousands of "No Kings Day" protests are set to be held throughout the country on Saturday to protest the Trump administration.
About 60,000 people took to the streets of downtown San Diego on Saturday for what organizers are calling "No Kings" Day, a nationwide protest of President Donald Trump's policies.
No Kings Day,” described as a national day of defiance against President Donald Trump, the date purposefully placed on the president’s birthday, saw participation in Lawton.
Organizers have planned demonstrations in cities and towns across the country on the same day as President Trump’s parade in Washington to celebrate the Army.
The No Kings events come after days of protests following raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Los Angeles, and Trump’s subsequent deployment of thousands of National Guard and U.S. Marines troops to “temporarily protect” ICE and other federal personnel, along with federal property.
Three events have been planned for the national "No Kings" day of mobilization in Springfield. None of these have been canceled.
