Alanton Elementary students in Virginia Beach have been running and raising money for the past several weeks to run in the Final Mile at the Shamrock Marathon this weekend.
Tricia Murphy, 43, was second overall among women in 20:07 at the 24th annual Jamestown High School Swamp Run 5K on March 8. Murphy bettered her previous lifetime by 30 seconds.
