BOSTON — Even Aaron Judge, who is putting up historic numbers with the Yankees once again this season, isn’t immune to a sudden slump. The superstar slugger was 1-for-12 with nine strikeouts against the Red Sox over the weekend, a big reason why the Yankees were held down on offense and swept for the first time all year.

That proved to be Judge’s lone hit of the series, as he went 0-for-4 with another three strikeouts in Sunday’s 2-0 loss at Fenway Park, with the Red Sox completing the sweep. His last chance to make another impact came in the eighth, when the Yankees had runners on first and second and one out and Garrett Whitlock entered.

It was a brutal weekend for Aaron Judge and his New York Yankees, but one teammate is not concerned about the captain or the Bronx Bombers. “I don't think much of it,” teammate Ben Rice said following New York’s 2-0 loss that cemented a Boston sweep on Sunday.
